Let’s get up close to nature. Crystal from Crystal’s Curio Creations will bring the supplies and you bring your curiosity. 

Crystal works with ethically sourced specimens. Crystal will get them all prepared to be pinned. Once they are in position they will be preserved to be admired for years to come. 

Butterfly Pinning Class  

Butterfly Mount Learning Class 1 specimen included                         

Learn the delicate process of pinning and preserving one of the most admired insects. Each guest will choose their own specimen from a selection of pre-hydrated butterflies in a butterfly chamber. You will take home your butterfly at the end of the class!

The instructor will provide everything you will need to learn this amazing skill. The instructor will bring:

A pre-hydrated specimen ready to pin. (All specimens are ethically sourced)

A board to pin your specimen to.

8 pins with large heads

1 No. 1 entomology pin (small head very thin pin)

Written instructions for those who want the option to read as they learn.

When you leave the class you will have the knowledge to start pinning your own special finds. This class comes with everything you would need to learn to pin your special finds. If you place them into a container of some type you can keep them for years to come.
